I'm amazed at how God's goodness is so good that it can even be found in trials, separation, & destruction. While meditating on the flood (Gen. 7), I couldn't help but be in awe of God's protection, preservation, & pairing. 
In the most troubling time of human history God proves Himself faithful to protect His elect. Noah & his family found refuge in the plan of God. No matter the force of the flood they were safe in the refuge of the ark. So, be encouraged in knowing you're safe in the shadow of his wings. 

He preserved His plan for the earth. Representatives of every creature were preserved in His plan (a.k.a. the ark) during this time of destruction. Even more amazing is His preservation of the vegetation which was under the the flood for 1 yr & 17 days! So, be encouraged in knowing that even in the destructive seasons of your life God is preserving you, the relationships you need, and even the provision (a.k.a. vegetation) you will need once the waters subside. 

His goodness is also so good that He used a time of destruction as a time of pairing. Every creature found their mate on board God's plan. If their was any confusion for the lioness as to who would be the future Mr. Lion, God's flood made that clear by eliminating the competition. God's plan for your life will STILL destroy the competition as your prepare to be paired. So, rejoice in knowing that, if you're still waiting for your "king of the jungle", God is still faithful to eliminate the lesser lions. 

In His plan you are Protected, Preserved, & perfectly Paired!
